This morning at 0614 hours, company 31 and automatic aid units were dispatched for a reported chimney fire in the 100 block of maple hill drive. While responding, at 0624 York county communications advised of a second box alarm being dispatched and 31 units diverted from the first incident to handle the second. Chief 68 arrived with smoke showing from a single story single family dwelling and established the York road command, upon the arrival of the tanker company crews encountered a self-vented fire and put 2 suppression lines in service. Crews make solid work of an advanced fire with significant extension through attic, the tanker and rescue operated with units from multiple automatic aid and out of county departments for just under two hours before returning.
