Station 31 was dispatched on 10/2/14 at 11:11 hrs for a vehicle fire on Interstate 83 Northbound south of exit 32 (Box 31-83) . Fire reported in the engine compartment. Tanker 31 along with MICU 31-1 responded. Tanker 31 arrived to find a well involved vehicle fire. State Police closed both North Bound lanes to allow the Fire Department to extinguish the fire. EMS 31 had command and requested Fire Police for traffic control as well as an Engine from Station 26. Box was placed in service a short time later without incident.
